GREAT PRODUCT! Jul 15, 2010
Was hesitant upon ordering a refurbished tv. Caustiously watched programs and sporting events and was pleased looking for any flaw. After having it a while really am impressed with the quality of picture and appearance. Extremely happy and satisfied with the tv while watching the Lakers win their 2nd title in a row.
Now entering the 21st century Apr 30, 2010
After fighting this urge I broke down and bought my first HDTV. So nice. Colors vivid, Sound is good enough. I hooked up a ion computer and a roku box. It's like night and day with my old tube tv. We played 720p episodes of the Office and Better off Ted and the motion capture was so smooth. We tried some compressed blu ray images and they played beautifully. Smooth frame rates. Animated videos such as 1080p Pixar films were wonderful even with compression. The live action videos need to be seen in blu ray. I just upgraded my netflix account and will try my first blu ray video soon. Can't wait to play it on this TV. Look for two reviews on the internet that have recommended settings. Your preference will vary. But remember that the higher you turn the brightness, the higher the power bill. I will also be trying an external antenna because we don't subscribe to cable or satellite. BTW this is a refurb. This was purchased though amazon by Circuit City. I did not pay shipping, handling, tax, recycle fee. Also the price went down 50 dollars a week later.

Great TV but don't order it through AMAZON..it will be refurbished even if you buy it new Mar 23, 2010
I have an invoice in hand that says I bought this TV new from Amazon.com and waited 2 weeks even having to drive to the grocery store and meet the deliver guy cause he said his truck was too big to turn the corner of my block. Once we got it we realized with the huge stickers on the box that it was refurbished. When I called Amazon they said they sell all their stuff third party and when I talked with the third party company they said it was amazon's fault that it was posted new because all they had was refurbished. Amazon blames the third party company and they are coming to pick it up. Neither company says they can do anything to help me and it was a mistake. In the mean time the other great deals I could have gotten two weeks ago are no longer there and I have to begin my research again.

Product was delivered with no issues. Tv was very easy to set-up for first time viewing. I searched on-line for optimum settings and found the ones I liked best and made the adjustments. I tweaked those a little more and the picture is awesome. Great TV for the money. I hope it stands the test of time.

Bought this item from Amazon with free shipping and no tax. There was great communication via email and phone regarding the shipping status and arranging the delivery from CEVA. The VIZIO SV471XVT arrived 4 days after the transaction in excellent condition. The delivery men described for me on how to open the box by removing the 4 plastic clip holders without cutting the box. I was told to keep the box for 30 days in case I need to return the unit. I plan to keep the box as it will serve well if I have to transport it. Well packed, the HDTV was easy to remove and place. The quick start instructions were clear and easy to follow. Once set up, the picture was so clear and realistic that I had to soften the tones to provide a warmer feeling to scripted programming. Blue Ray was incredible!! I cannot wait to view live sporting events with the 240 hz. Everything else positive has been stated in the other reviews. I highly recommend this HDTV.
